At Framestore, I modeled the hoverbikes and the tank for Thor: Love and Thunder, along with their equipment, turrets and weapons. It was my first show at Framestore
The hoverbikes had to read as a large fleet in the crowd shots without building every vehicle from scratch. I modeled three hoverbikes, three variants of equipment to place on them and three turrets for the top. The texture artists then created three texture passes, so the pieces could be combined into many different bikes. The hoverbikes took about three weeks, then around a week for each equipment set and two to three days per turret
The tank was the second priority. I modeled it in about a week, then added a sculpting pass for the battle damage in ZBrush and extracted the displacement from it
I also built the crater in about a week, modeled Korg's club and created a CG double for the crowd asset in two to three days
Because these assets passed through texturing, look development, rigging, animation and FX, I worked closely with each of those teams to find the best setup for everyone during modeling. I also had the opportunity to refine some details of the vehicle designs. I worked in Maya, ZBrush and Arnold
