At Outpost VFX, I worked as an Asset Artist on Bob Marley: One Love, building 52 of the 60 crowd assets along with the stadium, several venues, stages and props
The crowd was the largest share of the work. Alongside it, I built the environments around the concerts: the stadium, the different venues, the stages and the props that dress them, as well as the vegetation
Across these assets, I handled modeling, texturing and look development, and contributed some layout. The environment side of the work also covered set extension, set dressing and procedural scattering. The vegetation needed to move within the shots, so I set it up with motion paths
I worked across Houdini, Maya, ZBrush, SpeedTree, R3DS Wrap, Substance 3D Painter, Photoshop and Arnold, moving between character assets for the crowd and large environment pieces for the venues
The range of the work, from single props to entire concert venues, made Bob Marley: One Love one of the most varied productions I have worked on, and a good example of how asset and environment work meet on the same film
