At Outpost VFX, I built underwater and terrestrial environments for the series Nautilus, including underwater vegetation animated with motion paths

My contribution covered the full environment workflow: modeling, sculpting, texturing and look development, as well as layout, set dressing and set extension. I worked across both settings, each with its own visual and technical requirements, from the underwater scenes to the environments on land

The underwater vegetation required particular attention to movement. I set up motion path animations to give the plants lifelike motion within the environment, while developing the assets and their appearance for the surrounding scenes. On the procedural side, I used Houdini for scattering and built HDAs to support the environment work

I worked in Houdini, Maya, ZBrush, SpeedTree, Substance 3D Painter, Nuke and Arnold

Although Disney dropped the series, it was later released on French television, which means I can now share the work I contributed. Nautilus remains a project where I pushed my environment and vegetation skills further
